Access denied to mysql data base / Accés refusé a la data base mysql - by: gmegrette38

After first installation i'm trying to log on projeqtor but i'm stuck configuration page.
I'm getting de following message:

SQLSTATE[HY000] [1045] Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
dsn = mysql:host=127.0.0.1;port=3306

I'm using user name: root and password mysql.

Any idea to tackle this issue?
